Dan has been doing work for our company for many years, we are very happy with his work and professionalism and will continue using him for all our future jobs.

I originally hired Dan to simply remove the shelving, furniture and molding around the perimeter of my basement to prepare for waterproofing. When the waterproofing was completed and I Dan came back to replace the items he had removed, he asked what my plans were for the basement and suggested that with a nice dry basement, why not put tiles on the floor and repaint the paneling to give the basement a totally new and brighter look? Well that was the best decision I made. Dan was quick and careful, cleaned up and 6 years later the basement is as good as ever. I also hired Dan to renovate my bedroom, do my floors and a host of other projects. Reliable , considerate and reasonably priced and he can do anything!

We hired Daniel to help with a home renovation including knocking down a wall, redoing the kitchen, moving laundry out of the basement, and a few other misc items. We were first impressed that he was the ONLY contractor who took notes and time to give us a thoughtful estimate. This immediately built trust and we felt comfortable that his estimate was most accurate. He also recommended an architect and plumber that we immediately took to and feel confident in hiring for future projects. His choice of quality subcontractors was reassuring. Daniel’s greatest strengths are 1)Trustworthiness. We lived in our home during the reno and he had a key and was in our house almost daily for 4-5 months. We never had issue with him not treating our space with respect. 2)Problem solving. Daniel is not interested in doing it quickly – he wants it to be correct. He is excellent at creative problem solving – sometimes on the spot and sometimes after a night to sleep on it – but he always comes up with the best solution. The project took longer than estimated. Some of this was because we added things. The rest was because he subs out as little as possible and does the majority of the work himself so things take longer. Just plan on that and you’ll be fine. We were pleased to hire local and would be happy to work with Daniel again.

I have used Dawkins Development Group several times over the years to redo my kitchen, basement, bathroom and new roof. They perform quality work and on time. Daniel is great to work with and explains the entire process in detail and offers design advise and helps select the best materials. I plan to use them for all of my future jobs, and recommend them to others.
